After finishing MERCY, I had decided to take a break from writing for a while and do more sewing. The loss of my mom and the weight of world events made it feel impossible to focus on a new book. Since then, I've had new ideas I couldn't ignore, and I am writing again. I still try to set aside time for sewing and art.
I was honored to have some book objects included in the "Mourning and Melancholy" exhibit at San Francisco Center for the Book (July 5-September 21, 2025).

My new YA supernatural novel, Mercy, came out in October 2025. I was thrilled that Mercy was selected as one of Kirkus Reviews' Best YA Books of 2025:)
